24mm in aspc crop mode is equivalent to 36mm not 48mm so this comparison doesn't really work unless you crop a lot more in post. Also you can of course crop to apsc mode 75mm equivalent with this lens
Having an internal zoom would be a real bonus and I see Thypoch are releasing just this lens though no doubt it will not have th optical quality of the Sony. For me the ideal 'street' lens would be an internally zooming 28-70 but no doubt that will never happen

I was referring to cropping in POST yes. You can also use clear image zoom to do it in camera but thats for jpeg / heif only i think
