Wanted to see if anyone has any advice on an alternative to the Gura Gear Chobe 16. I took a look at it, and for what it is I can't justify spending over $300 for it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Maybe take a look at Tenba products.
I use several Tenba products, including two Fulton V2 Bagpacks, Solstice Sling, and Air Case Attache Trolley, and I'm very happy with them.
Yesterday I also ordered the Tenba Cineluxe V2 Shoulder Bag 16.
Its style is similar to the Gura Gear Chobe 16, with more storage space, but also heavier.
There is also a predecessor version to the v2, which is even cheaper.
I would look at the on-going Kickstarter campaign for the V4 of the Wandrd Prvke bags available in 4 sizes (15, 21, 31 and 41L).
To me they thick all the boxes and their V3 is already top notch. Although I have not owned one reviews are great and the bags are very well made per my playing with one in a store in Tokyo.
For my small pack I am currently using a Tenba and like it better than the larger F-Stop that I intend to replace by the Wandrid 31L. I believe that Wandrid is based in Utah.
A little impartial since I’m selling a LNIB one but the black ember 12L is similar (I owned the smaller Chobe at one point) and I have the camera cube too. Ended up sticking with my Bellroy Venture Camera 10L which is much smaller but fits what I need (another to consider depending on your kit).
