I like it, but part of me is conflicted. Seems like a lot of foreground in it as posted. Makes me scroll and cropped just below the whole rock int he middle it makes a nice 1:1 format images, and maybe right where the rocks on the left edge are, makes a nice landscape image with the white flow running down and off the frame.
Just a beautiful rich composition Emmanuel! The tones do justice to the purpose of a lighthouse...to guide souls back to a safe port. The "dreamy" flow of the ocean adds to the mystery of the ocean!
A rock solid, sorry for the pun, foreground here! Scale, depth, emotion all wrapped up in this frame!
Outstanding brother!

I like it but agree a bit with RWNPhoto - I want there to be a call / response between the sky / lighthouse light and the water below, but I have to force myself into the image.
I'm one of the unusual ones who actually likes a tall panoramic landscape, that both looks down and out at the same time. It makes it take longer to take in the whole image, and gives more of the sense of looking around in the space. If you did decide to crop it, I'd suggest just forgetting about the lighthouse and keeping all of those amazing rocks and water.
I do too, but I need something to bring me from top to bottom…

Thank you all so much for the thoughtful feedback—it truly means a lot to me.
I completely understand the suggestions about composition and cropping. It’s always fascinating how we all see things a little differently, especially in a scene like this. That’s the beauty of photography—if five of us stood in the same spot, we’d probably walk away with five entirely different images. This particular framing was intentional; I wanted to draw the viewer slowly through the image, from the textured foreground rocks and misty water up toward the lighthouse, almost like a quiet journey.
While I love hearing alternative visions, this was mine in the moment—and I appreciate the opportunity to share it with others who can see it from their own perspective too.
Very well said. Please take my comments as positive - it’s a great image regardless of what I see or wish to see differently.
It’s your image, and one you made the way you wanted to. Bravo for that!

Not a problem at all—honestly, I love hearing different opinions and visions. That’s how we grow. As photographers, we all see things in our own unique way, and I think it’s important to stay open to feedback, especially when sharing work in a photo forum like this 😊
I truly appreciate the time you took to share your thoughts—thank you for that!
The first thing that came to mind, is that the foreground looked like a waterfall. I don't know why! The second thing are the wires. Overall, I like the image as it is, but if it was me, I would get rid of the wires and poles.
