Well today I decided to stroll down the driveway and see if there was anything that I could try to capture with my ancient Vivitar Macro 5000 ring light and the Nikon 200 F4 macro lens on the F4s. Oldies but goodies. I haven’t shot anything in macro for quite a few years . I was hoping that my Emerald Jewellwings would come around one of these days but so far no-show. No bugs so I decided to try some flox and a flowering vine that I can’t remember the name of. Maybe someone can ID it for me.
We’ll see how they fly. I was hand holding all of these shots because I was too lazy to carry a tripod. Let me know what you think.

1 and 4 are my faves Terry, a very worthy stroll with your macro rig!

Thank you Eric. I’ll have to get a hot shoe trigger for the ring light and try it with one of the Z cameras and see how it does. Not too bad though considering everything is over 10 years old… even me
There is always beauty near by as you know Terry ....... The first is a beautiful image and perfect comp!
Phlox one has some very nice petal detailing and sweet color The contrast in the daisy makes for a bold statement on a delicate flower. I enjoyed the set

Beautiful work Terry. I enjoyed them all. I find shooting flowers difficult to find the right composition and depth of field. You certainly make it look easy !! Lovely work.
