Horrible conditions for my grandson's soccer game last night but I think the files cleaned up pretty good. Gonna have to rob a bank to get my hands on a 150-400
It's probably pretty obvious which one is my grandson

Gary, great results, your photos and adjustments show no signs of any “horrible conditions”.
The subjects of each photo are sharp and crisp, the colors and skin tones look very natural and there is no noise at all from shooting at ISO 2,000 or above. The Pany 100-300 did a great job and being small you were able to quickly react to changing conditions using it handheld. I don’t really see how the 150-400 lens could have been any better and as it is much larger and 3.6x times heavier; you may not have been able to react so quickly with it.

I agree with SpecFoto - these are really nice shots and look great.
Really appreciate the feedback ! A cleaner venue would have helped a bunch but it is what it is.
very nice photos. nitpicking, in the first photo, the background faces look very odd. any chance you ran these into Topaz? often Topaz tries to recover faces that are not meant to be recovered and yield kind of "oil on canvas" look.
I could be wrong and it might be just heat radiation from the surface.
