I've been inspired by Jim Dockery, who posts some great skitouring photos taken with his iphone, to post some of my own, after some time away from the forum.
Here are photos from a week skitouring in March around Arolla, Switzerland. The second to sixth ones are from a section of the Haute Route (from the Dix hut to Pigne d'Arolla and then down to Vignettes hut). This is the exact route where a tragedy struck a touring group in 2018 - here is an article https://www.outsideonline.com/outdoor-adventure/snow-sports/chamonix-zermatt-alps-haute-route-disaster/ and a film (in German, English cc subtitles available though not perfect):
Fortunately, we did that tour on a day with much better conditions!
Since we were going up 1000-1500m of vertical every day at altitude, most times I didn't carry my camera (though I still think I should get and use a Sony RX100M6 or 7)

Nice work! Glad to see another skier posting. "Not the Himalaya" is my favorite. Do you have trouble getting your partners to cooperate on ski shots? It's a mixed bag for me, some days they don't mind, but when the powder is prime they just want to ski non-stop.

Thank you Jim!
I think my partners would be fine to wait for me... it's our guide who's always in a hurry! For powder shots I sometimes get to take decent photos as they want the memories and the boasting rights:-)
Wow Cedric, you have a fantastic eye for composition, what an artistic and awe-inspiring set! I’m extremely impressed what you can do with an iPhone in your hands. You have my vote!

Ross, that's high praise, many thanks indeed! The mountains inspire me...
