I am processing some of the pictures from my last trip to Italy. Waking up early in then morning - 4:00 am - is the only way to capture the landmark spots without the crowds.
These are truly beautiful, Marcelo, as I was sure they would be. The first one captures the essence off the city with perfection. The compositions of all the images demonstrates your good eye and the processing is absolutely perfect. The tonal quality is spot on throughout.
Brent
Wonderful images of places which may already be "overworked' but these give them new life and your mono processing makes them sing - which is remarkable for this essentially polychrome city.
Thank you for refreshing great memories .... and the 'water daleks' are an hilarious addition to the Venice lexicon.!

Iconic! Well, Marcelo, no need for me to go to Venice. ;-)
#4, Dinner On The Water (almost literal) is my favorite. Not typical.
Dinner was great at the place, I had to take the picture with that view.

Brent, thank you so much for your kind words, it truly means a lot!
I’m especially glad the first image resonated with you; I was hoping to capture the spirit of the place in a more timeless way. I really enjoy the creative process from composition to post-processing, so it’s encouraging to hear the tonal work and framing came through well. Your feedback is deeply appreciated!

Venice is indeed a city that's been photographed endlessly, so hearing that these brought a fresh perspective means a lot. I’ve always felt that B&W can reveal a quieter, more timeless side of such vibrant places. And yes, the 'water daleks' gave me a smile too...Venetian charm meets sci-fi! Grateful that the photos brought back good memories for you.
