p.1 #1 · GFX100sii and "Shutter chatter"

(I have the Fringer EF-GFX adapter.) I changed the battery for a fresher one. All my settings seem to disappear from my Fn1, Fn2, Fn3 buttons on the top LCD.

In addition, I changed the lens to the Canon EF100mmf2.8 IS Macro... Using the Fringer EF0GFX Pro adapter. I had the Canon 180mm Macro on it 1st with no issue of chatter or top LCD display shifting constantly("S.S"...)

I am hearing a "chatter" which I believe is the curtain or shutter. Just guessing... I see the "S.S" on Top LCD constatnly changing and here the chatter.

I will just mention that this is my 1st usage of the Fringer adapter. Not saying it is the cause..just trying to silence the chatter and stop the "S.S" on top LCD from changing as the camera is moved around at any time.

I have determined it is the shutter. I can see and hear the shutter setting on the top LCD changing....Cant seem to find the correct Menu Option to change or check.
Thanks!
Dan

If you hear chatter it’s the aperture blades opening and closing. The reason your shutter speed would jump would be because the functional aperture is constantly changing.

How might I fix that Scott? This is the second time it happened and I cant remember how I fixed it. Seemed it was a Menu setting..?
Thanks!

I've seen/heard it on various cameras....are you shooting in Manual mode, or Aperture Priority?

It's likely down to the lens/adapter/or combo therein as it's not normal GF lens type behavior. The fact only one lens displays it is telling.

I took off the adapter and put the GF45-100 on and all is well...
Must be something with the adapter. It worked flawlessly with a Canon 180mm but when I changed to the 100 Macro IS, that's when the issue started.
Thanks Scott.

My Nikon 35/1.4 G did that on an FTZ...just how it works, nothing was wrong. Some lenses talk back more than others.

I have a photo project scheduled to start tomorrow and glad I wanted to pre-test the Canon lens to the Fuji prior to hitting the "project".
