Thank you very much, Guy! Your van build sounds cool, I have a friend who did that and it took him years. Hope you get to the Smokies for a fall and a spring! Usually mid-April is a good bet but the dogwoods bloomed early this year so missed most of them. Do you get the pastel colors of spring buds in the forests in MA? I have wondered if New England got that and if so would like to do a spring trip there sometime.
Cheers,
Ross
We get quite a show of spring color, some years it is better than fall color. I just got back from Vermont and some of the higher elevations in the mountains had a lot of spring color still going on. The delicate bud colors and the clear lines of structure of the tree branches provided quite a show. And the wildflowers were quite stunning, the best Trilliums I've ever seen.

That’s sounding great, Guy, I hope to do a spring trip in NE at some point.
This is such a beautiful set that I have come back repeatedly to this thread. You have a great eye - probably thanks also to lots of experience - for spotting these natural lines. This is especially apparent to me in the second one with those nice red 'layers' of foliage which line up perfectly.

Really appreciate your wonderful comment, thank you!
