Congratulations to Dneufarth for winning Feature Thread of the Week with 2 votes - View Previous Winners
I was grateful to be asked by Rachel to photograph a live performance. And I am glad she did as I discovered that she is an extraordinary singer/songwriter. There is a prize for picking up what is going on in the final image.😁 C&C always appreciated. Derek

These black and whites are amazing. The level of contrast in all of these is sensational. You did a great job. Personally 1 and 4 are my favorites. The light rolling off her cheek in 4 and creating that shape is just beautiful to me. As others have said above she choose a very talented photographer.
The 4th one might be my favorite, and the dual "right side up, up side down" pair is interesting, with upside down being more interesting to me. The last one, shot through a window?

Thank you so much. I shot the last one through one of those games where you guide the claw and try to grab your prize, out of which I have never won anything, until now.
These are sensational images Derek!!! You did her proud!! Her #1 side profile reminds me of a young Joan Baez.
B&W is really defined by your images here!!

Thank you very much, Dan. I can see that resemblance.
Very, very nice set of pictures. Just came across it. The black and white is beautiful and the perspectives good and creative. Very deserved feature thread win.
