Where silence becomes prayer.

This Holy Week, four scenes of Iceland’s churches, quiet sentinels scattered across the island.

Amigo: Thank you. I am a permanent resident, yet I stop short of calling this land mine. The Icelanders have treated me generously, but it is, and rightly remains, their country.

Wonderful captures, but the 2nd and 3rd images are masterful. You have a wonderful eye for composition.

You really have a lot to see in an image that does not often have a lot in it if that makes sense ....... in a very good way
#1 Very peaceful, seeing the dog in the frame invokes several thoughts ........
#2 Isolation, chilling and peaceful. For me these look so remote that I wonder how many visit.
#3 Really love the angular comp, the rich saturation and seeing a few grave markers adds to mystery. The church looks solid and well maintained and somewhat ornate, I continue to wonder how folks travel to get here.
#4 One set of tire tracks to the parking area ......... just proudly chilling by the sea. The openness amazes me and it gives such a wonderful feeling.

I really enjoy your work, these are not areas I relate too, so different than my surroundings. I appreciate what you share, thanks again
Karl

Thank you, Harry. Most people go with #1, but I'm with you - my own pick is #3.

Karl - Thank you. And I appreciate the keenness you bring. I have been to Ohio and I can tell you Iceland is very different. :-)
