p.1 #1 · A Lioness and her 3 cubs watching the Sun come up.
It's one thing to have a Lioness on a Kopje (rock outcrop) @ Sunrise,
but to have all 3 cubs joining her at that opportune sunrise moment is a rare treat!
Just another beautiful morning in the Serengeti.
I had just enough time to still capture the Sun as a yellow ball due to the smoke haze/diffusion from grass fires that were around at the time.
And sure enough as it rose higher in the sky it blew out to a boring over exposed white sphere.
Eastern Serengeti_ TZ.
We're just minutes away from the Sun coming up off her right shoulder, we have an ample spread of dawn/diffused lighting. And yes, there was a large Acacia thicket
that blocked my framing on the right here and did the best I could to (mostly) avoid it.

"Hey Mum.....what's that big yellow ball in the sky!"
The big challenge here is to decide just how much shadow detail to retrieve on the family, as I wanted to depict that young cub scrambling over his mother as he soaked in that view.
