Growing up, my uncle Sandy would stop by a few times a year. He was a long haul trucker, and when he wasn't in his rig, he was riding up and down Asbury Park on his Harley. He is also my mother's twin bother.
About 20 years ago, he moved from Jersey to Colorado and I haven't seen much of him, with the exception of my mother's funeral 16 years ago.
My cousin got married outside of Denver last year, and I *knew* I needed to get a portrait of him. I wanted him in the stoic pose I'd seen over the years, surrounded by the mountains of Colorado.
I'm really happy with how it came out (he is as well) but I'm not sure if I like it better in color or black and white. What do you all think? CC welcome.
I like both for different reasons! The color one makes him more intimate to you. The B&W conveys great form in his posture, great texture in his facial appearance and yes a no nonsense emotion!
The color one is nice and vibrant and dramatic. Your uncle's character comes out more here!
He reminds me of the British bluesman, John Mayall.
Well done on both.

B&W by a long ways..... as they are now.
Pull the saturation down a touch, maybe I change my mind. But take a bot of contrast out o fate B&W and I might like that even better still.
