Some hummingbird pix from the last two days, all taken in natural light. The poor girl in the first picture got a bad wound under her left eye, probably from fight with other hummers.

Some hummingbird shots from today. Will be interesting to see if the read speed of the new Sony A7RVI's sensor will distort their wings. I may get one to play around in a couple months.

This bird has been on my list to photograph for a number of years but never had a really good opportunity to photography them, they are extremely skittish. This female decided to land very close to where I was sitting and stayed on the branch for a minute or so, go figure.

I came across this Buffy fish owl that was perching and preening on a colored block wall in a coastal town on West Java, Indonesia. In all likelihood it is a pet but there was no cage and no chain. So, it can fly and do whatever it feels like it. And it wasn't skittish and when I approached it, it kept on lookin at me but it didn't fly away. The only lens I had was this 20-70mm and the results look fine...
