p.22 #3 · Nature and Wildlife image thread - a Sequel
A barred owl flew to my rural Texas yard a couple of evenings ago. Landed on a fence post with my neighbor's house in the background. It then left to catch what I believe to be a very large grasshopper for a snack. It flew back to my neighbor's yard to eat. It was getting dark, but I was able to use DeNoise in LR to help.
A1 + FE200-600, 1/640s, ISO range 12800 - 16000, f6.3, 600mm
I tried upping the shutter speed, but it was a no-go.

Lewis woodpecker. This was in the White River wildlife area, and it was my first time there. On the east side of Mt. Hood, unlike anything I have seen. White Oak forest with mixed Ponderosa pine and Douglas Fir plus large meadows seperating the stands of trees.
