Awesome images, Jose! So, that was in Portugal, huh? I am envious....😜. What lens did you use for those shots, please?
Thanks. Yeah all the images were taken in Northern Portugal, I've been focussing on the Bee-eaters and the Eurasian Hoopoe, they are just amazing birds. The Bee-eaters are a challenge to shoot because they are just so darn fast, just like swallows.
Going to shoot some European Kingfishers hopefully over the next week or so, another target species for me then I'll move to the salt flats, lots of shorebirds there.
All the shots are taken withe the 300GM with the 2X extender.

Made the trek down to Brazos Bend for the first time in a good long while (wedding, selling the house, all the life things keeping me away from getting out and taking pictures). It's crawfish season here in Texas and no shortage of Herons taking advantage. Oddly satisfying watching them toss them around a few times to snap off the claws and then swallowing them whole.
