A birder friend gave me a tip about the rare sighting in the area. After a bit of a hike in the woods and finally found this one. Spent most of the day watching it hunting. Hope you enjoy these.

what a set of pictures. really amazing use of the light conditions in the woods to highlight a beautiful bird. the take off and flight pictures are great. i have only seen a very few of these birds where i am. thanks for sharing.
