Being a holy man doesn't mean being un-humorous!!!
I took a "Religions of tthe World course in college. IT did discuss humor among the different religions of the World.
It was found that the Hindus were the most humorous. I found that a tad humorous because of the traditional "skin painting" to represent how that "lord or god" is perceived. Irony perhaps And I don't mean humor in making an irreverant remark about one's religion or non-religion or how that "human" portrays his reverance of that diety.
But I tend NOT to make any remark about what consists of "religious humor" for fear of disrespect.

Thanks, Dan. I think humor is an important part of any religion. It introduces humility. The most free and joyful people are those who are spiritually evolved. They can see humor in everything because they know this world to be a dream, and they can enjoy it as such.
