I posted an image earlier from this location with large boulders as the focus. This one had just a handful of people to edit out and captured a wonderful view as I entered the area.
Your C&C is greatly appreciated on all accounts!
Thanks for the visit

It’s a pleasant scene, Karl. I like all the various layers in the composition from foreground to mid to background. The reflection adds nice life to the image. I think you handled the mix of sun and shade very nicely in your processing. The one con for me personally is the restroom building, I’m not a fan of seeing that. But others may not be bothered by it.
I like it. Really well put together composition. Nice control of the light. Nice contrast between highlight and shadow especially the dappled light in the center of the image. As for the inclusion of the building, I get it. Sometimes including man made structures in the natural landscape can be used to highlight the impact we human have on our environment. Personally not my thing, but I get it.

Yup that building was going to be a learning curve for me. I guess it too was restroom though I knew it as the swimmers changing room. If only it weren't there!! Thanks for the kudos and the honesty, I hesitated but went for it.
The sun/shade was a fun challenge, glad it came out balanced looking, thanks Ross for your input.

Appreciate your comments on comp, light and contrast. I think this will be my last post that includes a nonessential building The rest of the image was so appealing I kinda forgot about the impact of the building, I am here to learn so thanks for your thoughts about it for future reference!

You still did a real nice job on this composition and processing, and glad you posted because it reminds me of what a lovely area that is, I haven’t photographed in Oak Creek Canyon for quite a few years.
Looks like a very serene and peaceful place Karl. Yeah it’s too bad the building was there, but you can’t always get what you want. But you got a good shot. The rock formations and colors are absolutely stunning.
amazing scene captured very well. i can go either way with the building. i will say this that whoever designed it picked a good design for the setting and it's colors blend in very well its surroundings, especially the rock that it is on. thanks for sharing.

Hey Terry thanks for stopping by for a look. Appreciate the kind words on the image👍🏼

Personally I like the building. I think it adds since it has sharp geometric edges when compared to the smoothness of rocks and water, but it doesn't stand out too much. It isn't overly distracting. Great stuff!
