Hey y’all, wanted to share some more images I processed from my shoot in GSMNP this fall. Amazing region (despite the crowds) and I’m so grateful to have experienced these scenes and made compositions. I am in love with the Eastern deciduous forests! Once again the A7RV was a wonderful companion, the most enjoyable system I have used for landscape. This set was photographed with 24-70/2.8 GMII, 70-200/2.8 GMII, and Sigma 500/5.6, some on a Gitzo CF tripod and others handheld relying on IBIS.
Thanks for checking it out. I wish happy holidays to all!
Sunset light on fog rising over hills
Dogwood in full autumn splendor
Soft glowing light on forest
A favorite view of backlit layers of mountains
Wet misty fog transformed the woodlands
Fall on Chimney Tops that was partially burned in the big wildfires of 2016
Sunset over mountains with wisps of fog
Light & shadow playing across forested mountainside
BTW, I use a similar rig (minus the 500mm). I find that the ST profile in the a7r5 messes up the yellows and oranges so I have to use Cobalt profiles, or dial down the saturation on those 2 (I'm assuming you shoot raw like I did..., but never mind if you don't)

Thank you, zuru! I use a variety of profiles depending on the individual image, as I like to scroll through them and see which interpretation best suits the specific scene. I also really like the Huelight profiles and find them worth the small cost.

More lovely work Ross! I'm jealous of the mist you got, we had nothing but bluebird days in new england for all of October.
Thank you, Guy! Those blue sky days are gorgeous but sure are challenging for woodlands photography. I love foggy conditions and wish they happened in my local area.
