This morning I finished a few exhaustive and painstaking days work analysing EOS R1 files to produce optimal Adaptive Noise Reduction Pre-sets for the Canon EOS R1. The EOS R1 is the best high-ISO performing sensor I have yet tested from Canon.

Is there an image quality advantage to this 'traditional' NR route rather than running files through Adobe's Denoise function?

no - time saving only as you can batch it on import
