When I set up AEB in the Photo Shooting Menu -> Auto Bracketing, is there a way to make the camera auto fire the entire bracket without the user having to intervene and trip the shutter manually for each bracket? As it is now, the camera auto changes the exposure setting but the user has to trip the shutter for each bracket set in the menu, ie 3 or 5. Maybe what I’m trying to do is not possible with Nikon cameras.
This really bugs me. My other system does what you're asking. I've owned a few Nikons over the years and none of them have taken all the exposures at once.
There is a option that you can set to a button for bracket burst but it adds an extra step and I don't have any extra buttons.
I usually shoot in single shot mode but my workaround has been to set it at 2 frames per second. It's slow enough where I can stop after three shots without taking any extra.

I can't remember what's necessary in order to execute all shots in one sequence, but I'm pretty sure, it's possible.
I don't owe that camera any more, I used to..
Try changing the shutter release mode from single shot to Cl or Ch. You should be able to hold down the shutter button once and take all three/five/seven images with one push of the button.

Canon and Sony do this very easily and even my drone does this too. Thanks for your reply.
