By the way; Banding is really Horrible after 2560 ISO in the Pixii Max. Shockingly bad.

2560? Did you mean 25600?

Sadly I think the person means 2560. More and more this camera is a no go for me.

How does that tie in with @Fred Miranda DR performance chart? It apparently has good DR, but it also has horrible banding?

The DR blue dots end less than ISO 3000 so perhaps the 2560 is correct.

Apparently the same or worse than the m240.
24mp is long in the tooth for a high entry point rangefinder imo. Probably save up for when they release a better performing sensor, which is a shame since the previous crop sensor model was more highly regarded from what I recall...

The SL2S 24MP sensor is very good. So it is currently possible for good results.

Impressive that they are continuing development at this pace for such a small and new company. Looks like a much more substantial, robust body from possibly a single piece rather than the sandwich construction of the current version. Here is a screenshot image just lightened up in PS.

I noticed parts of the image load at slightly different times and realized it is actually made up of two images, one with the filename "teaser-pixii-2025" and the other "VF-overlay"

It looks like either they have completely removed the top display or possibly built a smaller one into the hot-shoe.

Just imagine how successful they could be if they open source their camera software...

I wanna cheer for the underdog, but man, after reading this review, I feel that they have a ton of software kinks to work out before they move on to a new body here. Hate feeling like the overall experience with any Pixii camera would be a $5k beta experiment rather than a polished one.

- terrible metering
- software glitches, freezes, buggy operation
- unreliable app
- color cast with lens

That would be incredible, and fit with the rest of their modular/upgradable ethos.
