This is a small collection of images taken during my last tour in Brazil.
Your feedback is most welcome
All images taken with Sony a1 and 600f/4, I used the 1.4TC most of the time and this is just part of the collection. I still have loads of RAW files to go through, which is a good thing
One of the most colorful bird we found in Brazil was this Green-headed Tanager!
This is the endemic Brazilian Tanager.
Black-goggled Tanager.
Blond-crested Woodpecker.
Festive Coquette.
Chennel-billed Toucan.
Golden-chevroned Tanager.
Maroon-bellied Parakeet.
Red-breasted Toucan portrait.
Female Tufted Antshrike. This is one rare example of the female being prettier than the male.

A delight to view Juan. The crown of the Black-goggled Tanager appears to have lost a touch of detail, a minor nit from so many wonderful images.

It has a very bright crest, nothing I can do unless I under expose the file by two stops. Then it would make it impossible to get details in the blacks!

Lovely- of all the places you have been- where is your favorite?
Many thanks to all of you for your kind comments on my work and for your votes!
Of course, my favorite place is Costa Rica, my home country, and the reason is simple. We have some of the highest density of flora and fauna per square kilometer on the continent, just behind Ecuador! but we are 5 times smaller than that South American country!
As always, your work is both stunning and inspiring. Each of these photos should be a prized part of your portfolio.
While I have photographed tropical birds in Costa Rica many times, it seems that Brazil is the inspiration for an even greater explosion of color...
Love it all.
