I remember how badly I wanted to see and photograph this species when I visited Canada, no luck ;(
What a treat for you be able to find a gorgeous fox like that to take photos of. I’ve been hearing that the coyotes are taking a toll on the red and gray fox. I did see a young red fox fly across the road into a cornfield in front of me about a week ago after dark actually when coming back from taking pictures down in Amish country. Little more rural little less traffic down that way. I’ve seen a couple young ones hit on the road around here lately…breaks your heart.
These are really beautiful. I hope it’s OK out there. Love the raccoon too.
