Before posting this thread, I verified the legitimacy of the product and purchased both black and silver dots. I received a purchase confirmation, and the dots arrived within four days. I was impressed with the craftsmanship...the dots look and feel like the original Leica ones and are thin enough to sit flush with the body. The painting process looks solid. In the past, I've painted a couple of red dots to black myself using several coats of paint, but they didn't last long.
I haven't tried any cheaper alternatives, but I highly recommend these. I should mention that I didn't consider contact methods initially, as my subsequent conversations with the seller were through Instagram. He responded very quickly....Show more →
Hi, Fred,
No any intention to put blaming here, absolutely great info you provided, and the product seems great as well.
Also I believe the business is legit, just don't feel good for not having direct contact info on their website, and don't provide USPS tracking # while they charge $10 for shipping now.

I have a GT3 Touring with a manual. No missed shifts if you pay attention. But I use that car for fun on back roads, not racing. PDK is definintely better on track.
I co-sign your choice.
For an off track car I would absolutely pick a car similar to yours. You can't reasonably go very fast off track even on back roads. So, I would much rather enrich my experience with a manual transmission and a slightly more comfortable ride.
I really love Porsche cars. To bad I am at least temporarily unable to drive one. Maybe one day again.

Best
Yep, nice product but only being able to inquire about shipping and delivery if you have an instagram account is just wrong.
Anyhow, product arrived to my home in MN about 10days after order, there is no tracking number because it was just in a small padded envelope shipped via regular USPS (no tracking number)

USPS provides tracking for everything they ship. Whenever I go to the post office they circle on the receipt the tracking number.

C’mon you could drive a Cayenne….
Oh you mean a real Porsche?
Porsche makes the best sports cars in the World. But, when it comes to my SUV I have a whole different set of criteria. The interior of the Cayenne is too cramped for me. Paying sports car prices and maintenance makes no sense for an SUV. Otherwise I would have one.
According to the seller, this product is now sold out and won’t be produced anymore. However, there are a few silver screw dots available. I was told the production batch was 200 orders.
Got my Analogous silver one shipped. I have inquired about the silver version for a while. They said getting the matte finish to match with the body was quite difficult. Finally put it on my M10R or M10R-P now. It's gorgeous. I think my RF focuses better now. Also all my lenses show better microcontrast and mid frame sharpness. Center and edge aren't effected by the dot.
Got the analogous for my Q3, looks great, very fast shipping too. I could care less about hiding the Leica logo, but I black out everything I own for aesthetic reasons (and I dislike logos on things in general) so this worked a treat.

i know this is resurrecting an old thread, but just to be clear, it was shipped in a letter envelopw with a stamp, just like you would do for a letter. There is no tracking for that.

I agree on the cabriolet. Too heavy, and too flexible for any kind of speed work. Plus the coupe models are as good at getting women as the cabriolet.
However, the current Porsche competition versions of the automatic Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmissions are as good or better than any race driver could do. Lap times prove that, plus no more bent valves from missing shifts.
The PDKs are spectacular indeed. Drove a GT4RS last year and it was quite the experience; I initially expected to needing to shift with the paddles but the damn thing was near-telepathic and just did the right thing at the right time every time in auto mode. The 911 Turbo S was similar.
But as far as the convertibles go, I think the concept of them being "flexible" or sloppy really died out somewhere around the 997 gen. Sure, on paper a coupe will be stiffer but 997/991/992 gen droptops are quite stiff and solid and would be equally good unless you are pushing them to their absolute extremes.
Logically, that's all true but nothing beats going ham in a cabriolet with the a/c and music blasting in the summer at a private track day. Chassis rigidity and PDK is like the things that'll affect your sector times the least anyway for 99% of drivers. The 911 S/T imo is the best 911 ever made.
On topic Analogous seems to only have the satin black (for the Qs) in stock rn and everything else is sold out.
Yeah, the S/T is probably the best 911 there will ever have been. For us mortals, any 987+ Cayman or Boxster is likely the best sports car that can be had for reasonable money though.
On that topic, I'd probably put the Spyder RS Boxster along the 911 S/T as one of the best Porsches ever produced. It's basically the fantastic GT4RS except without a roof and with the intake howling right next to your left ear; glorious.
I'd love to get a black dot for my M11. Ags supply is out of stock for a long time now, and Leicascrew says they are done with production, no plans to make anymore and have moved to another project.
Anyone have a spare they'd love to sell?
