In March, I had the opportunity to visit Moab and witness the breathtaking sunrise at Mesa Arch in Canyonlands National Park. Arriving just before dawn, I was surprised to find the area already crowded with photographers eager to capture the iconic image. Despite the bitter cold and lack of space for my tripod, I found a cozy spot to sit and enjoy the sunrise. As the sun began its ascent, the crowd quickly dispersed, leaving me with the entire arch to myself. While I missed the classic shot, the ethereal glow beneath the arch was still a sight to behold. I used my 24mm TS lens to capture full arch and 16-35mm for closer shots. Here is my version of Mesa Arch from a truly unforgettable morning.
Thanks Ross

Yup, the usual crowds...
Why post so many nearly identical images?
Absolutely correct, my problem is that I get very little time to post or get on FM. When i am getting ready to do post, i can't make up my mind and after 10 minutes of tinkering with it I just say forget it and post few extra.

Parul - no matter, the images are beautiful and the red glow is striking. I would have posted just the first two images.
Thanks Rajan, it was definitely quite an experience. As for posting similar images, it's my problem of not being able to makeup my mind.

very nice. how many other photogs standing there?
Thanks! You know, I would guess that there were at least 15 photographers lined up. Almost all left after they got classic sunrise shot.

No matter what, if the light is good, it will be very crowded. Even if it was -10F on Christmas morning, there will be lots of people there...
My first time and I had read up on it about how crowded it gets but I thought being off season and a cold snap would limit the crowds. I was definitely wrong.
