Douglas: You are right. The Icelandic Fall scenery is nothing like what one is accustomed to in other parts. Here the colour derives primarily from the native birch and the berry shrubbery on and around mountain slopes. There is some larch and rowans as well. Fall is also very brief in Iceland.
