I do so envy you these are beautiful. I would’ve loved to have seen and photographed this sometime in my lifetime, but never made it out to see that kind of landscaping in the fall. Thank you for sharing your experience. Just excellent!

Wow! Such neat shots. Well done. Yes, I'm excited for fall too. I'm going to Great Smokey Mountains at the end of October. I can't wait!
Fantastic place! I hope you have a great experience. Last year on October 31 in the Smokies was the single most productive day of my life, when it became foggy.

Ross, based on your past experience, would you recommend recommend the weekend of Oct 18th or 25th for peak colors in the Great Smokey Mountains?
The Smokies will normally have color somewhere from early October to early November, depending on the elevation. So highest mountaintops usually start in early October, lowest valleys finish up in late October to early November, and mid elevations in mid-October. I would guess that the mid-elevation mountainsides will be good the week of the 18th, and the valleys good the week of the 25th. But that’s just a guess, I have no idea what’s going on this year after they had drought in late summer followed by the torrential rain of Helene.
