My dear friend, Frank, is a life-long obsessive weight-lifter—who hates declining. At 86, he can no longer lift more weight every week or month. Strong, nonetheless. He can still manage 3-4 reps of benching about 180lb. He dreams of getting back to 225.
Lens is old MF Hasselblad CZ 80mm f:2.8 CT*, at 2.8. Frank says he is also an "old MF".
This is one of the best portraits I've seen in a while. The lighting is about as close to perfect as it could get, and the 'pensive'/reflective expression of Frank tells the story.
I would suggest burning in the highlights on the left and right side of the image, or possibly trying a square crop as I don't think the elements on the left and right add anything to the image.
Regardless, it's an excellent portrait as is.
(And I totally agree with others -- Frank does not look anywhere near 86.)
