Here are some of my most recent images from this year.
All of these pěctures were taken with my Sony A1 and 600f/4 or 100-400. Some people asked me, so that's why I am including this information.
Have a nice Sunday, everyone!
Royal Flycatcher in full crest display. Not an easy bird to get at least when do show off their crest, a rather simple bird otherwise.
Brown-hooded Parrot, these birds are real posers and always give me nice flight shots!
Black-headed Trogon along the San Carlos River.
This is the near-endemic Costa Rican Pygmy-Owl.
Another bird that never disappoints, Montezuma Oropendola.
Black Hawk-Eagle, you will not find a lot of pictures of this bird perching, well, now that might change as we were treated with this beautiful bird nesting!
Anhinga and the catch of the day!
This is a Spectacled Owl, I love this birds, they are the kings of the night although we found this one roosting in the daytime.
Bat Falcon, this is another raptor found in Costa Rica. This is a rather small bird but we were treated to find it not so far from the road and at eye level!
Blue-and-gold Tanager, this is another fine jewel found only in Costa Rica and a tiny area in Panama.
Mr. King Vulture, one of the most ''handsome'' birds in the whole American Continent if you ask me!
And this post would not be complete without this amazing bird, the Resplendent Quetzal.
