Curious why you chose f2 and the possibility you'd get a less than sharp result. The clear sky background isn't something I'd want to blur. What was your thinking in this shot?

It's set to 5.6, at least according to the description.
I like the use of lighting and the use of blue sky as a background. The colors throughout the shot are very nice as well. I notice what looks like some halo effect around the edges of the two subjects. If you did some masking on these, you may want to get a little closer to the edges where your subjects meet sky.

The lens is an F/2 but it’s on 5.6. Besides that it was a spur of the moment thing. I had like 2 seconds before the moment passed.

The color scheme here resonates so well. The mother's blue overalls and the child's blue outfit with the blue sky in the background, and the mother's yellow shirt and floppy straw hat with golden light completing the scene. There's a motif here that immediately made me think of "Norman Rockwell".
