It's worked pretty well, although I'm still getting the hang of the various focus modes and the tools suddenly available to me.
Also my local lake isn't the best for BiF, most of the birds are pretty content where they are unless you're really patient so will require many more trips to get my practice in, or the Sandhill cranes to migrate back in the winter...
I added the Z6III to my Z9/Zf combo. It really slots in well between the Z9 and Zf perfectly. I took the Z6III to a Drum Corp International competition in Allentown PA on Friday to see how it would do in the real world and it didn’t disappoint. I took a couple hundred photos and the AFC tracking was 99% as good as the Z9. This was all shot in very low light, on my 24-200 Z lens (there is a 6” lens length limit so no 35-150, 200F2 or 70-200) I was iso8000-32000 all evening. This shot was at 12800.
This camera works pretty well when I do beach shoots...the WYSIWYG EVF works well for balancing and being able to use the bright viewfinder to review the image instead of needing a loupe is big benefit too.
