The other day at Oakland Lake here in New York City I spotted 3 barn swallow fledglings waiting to be fed by there parents. Two were on one branch and a bit obstructed and the other on a closer branch in plane sight so I set up on the one I could see clearly and waited. When dad (I think) got close I started a burst and I'm presenting my picks from the burst
Comments and suggestions welcome,
Morris

Nice sequence. I may try to remove the second branch to see if it works better. These suckers are tough to track and shoot if you do not understand their behavior.

Thank you Eric,
Ya, hard for the parents to keep up feeding them

Talk about in-flight refueling!
Very cool to see and of course, well photographed and presented.
Thank you TJ,
The next step before they start feeding on there own is in the air food transfers from the parents to the fledglings. I've never gotten a good photo of this

Thank you Chris,
I did try removing that branch which is quite easy. I found that it leads to the chick and for me was better than the empty space. I agree, understanding there behaviour makes photographing swallows much easier
