It's been a stormy season here in Costa Rica and I have been taking care of some home remodeling so it has kept me away from the PC.
Continuing with my Peru series, I would like to share more of the images I have processed up to this point.
As always, your suggestions on how to improve are most welcome. All the images were taken using my trusty Sony A1 and 600f/4 coupled with the 1.4TC occasionally.
This is a Marvelous Spatuletail, a Peru endemic and probably one of the top 5 species in that country!
Bronzy Inca.
Another endemic species, the Johnson's Tody-Flycatcher, this was a tough one to find but we managed!
Rufous-crested Coquette in all its glory!
One more endemic bird, now it's a Rusty-tinged Antpitta.
White-bellied Woodstar. These are among the smallest hummingbirds with you will find in South America!
Peruvian Racket-tail. As you can see, we found a lot of hummingbirds, around 45 species in total!
Juan, these are outstanding as always! I called out "Juan just posted " to my hubby when I saw your post yesterday! He came running into the office with a great big grin saying "Oh yeah"! Thank you so much for sharing!

The first shot is amazing, and the Rufous-crested Coquette is incredibly cute standing there on one leg. Loved this set.
