i should have been more clear in saying that I do not find it funny that the maths of photography prove what they prove. i find it funny that in spite of what the maths prove...real world results often do not follow the math's teachings.
Where it is possible to quantify attributes you will find that actually the real world does follow the math. Lens characteristics are governed by the science of optics. We can see this in ruthenium's original post: ruthenium wrote:
300mm, SS (ISO): 1/80 (200), 1/200 (500), 1/400 (1000), 1/640 (1600), 1/1250 (3200), 1/2500 (6400), 1/5000 (12800).
200-600mm at 600 mm, SS (ISO): 1/30 (200), 1/80 (500), 1/160 (1000), 1/250 (1600), 1/500 (3200), 1/1000 (6400), 1/2000 (12800).
We can also arrive at these values directly by calculating one from the other. For example:
300mm f/4 @ 1/1250 (3200)
The Sony lens is 1.61 times brighter and FF ISO is 4 times the equivalent M43. Picking the closest Sony shutter speed of 1/1000 then the required ISO is:
3200* 1/1250 * (4/1.61) * 1000 = 6360 ISO
in close agreement with the 6400 ISO reported.
Note the point is not that everyone should master the mathematics. The point is that they are useful for making quantitative comparisons and evaluations of scenarios for those who are interested.

well then that surely explains why images captured using the more/most superior are always better than images captured with inferior equipment.
Ok.

although I very much doubt it…maybe you will one day realize that announcing and/or having an “ignore list” speaks to your own inadequacy and inabilities more than anyone whom may have been put on your special list.
also, why the announcements?
Somebody you are incapable of dealing with makes you sad…then ignore them since that's all you can manage to do.
why announce to three complete strangers that you are going to ignore a fourth complete stranger?
I’m curious what it is you believe you are winning by making such announcements…because I’m sure it’s nothing.

Oh, boo hoo. Pardon me also for posting such a high number of images and having over 22,000 Likes. Then there are the replies to the 'Flamers' like you.

Who cares what your opinion is? Seems you are the one trying to win something with your know-it-all comments.

Imaginemeister has been banned more times than you’ve posted…yet…here she is even though she knows no one likes her nor wants her hanging around here.
All class.

Do not flatter yourself. When it comes to dealing with you…trying is hardly required.
I’m simply curious as to how a mind such as yours works like that.
Why do you not answer questions?
Too many big words for you?
Didn’t see them?
“your know-it-all comments”…you’re too kind.

Most folks possessing even a small measure of class and dignity will ‘pardon themselves’ from a group which, for obviously valid reasons, does not welcome them and not hang around insulting and offending those group members.
Some folks will instead simply and continually embarrass themselves.

Sadly, there is no list.
How (and more strangely, why) does a ‘person’ continually quote and respond to my posts which that same ‘person’ continually states are hidden/ignored?

back to the actual thread, this is the Photoshop Beta replacing the background. One click removed the original background and I recycled through AI generated backgrounds providing input on what I liked until this. Kinda boring to me but probably technically better.

I don't normally diss images from inexperienced shooters, no point spoiling someones fun. But here, given your images and the topic of this thread, I think an exception is in order. Besides you seem to claim to be experienced. So here goes nothing:
Are you deliberately trying to make this look bad? Is this maybe your statement of how poor IQ can be for you to still enjoy it? Or are the processing artifacts meant to be artsy? This is even worse than your previous shot. It looks like a wooden toy that just happens to be airborne in heated air bubbles and then post processed by a blind person. /rant
