p.1 #1 · which book/guide for new Z8?

Hello,

Of the multitudes of available guides and books available for the Z8, which one do you recommend from experience?
Looking for one good one, rather than several.

Thanks!

There's only one that's proven itself to me. When I do a search it quickly directs me to accurate results. Saves time. Problem solved.

The most complete guide is, arguably, the guide by Thom Hogan:

His books are long, but they are accurate, insightful, and very thorough.

Second on the Hogan comment. That said, if you are primarily shooting moving things I'd grab Steve Perry's setup book as he dives a bit deeper into AF specific settings. I have both but tend to refer to the Hogan on general questions, and the Perry one for field use issues.

I recently purchased a Z7ii and Z8 (on sale) and have been working my way through the Nikon reference guides. So far, I'm finding them useful and relatively clear.

I bought the Hogan and a couple other Z9 guides. The best by far are the e-books from Steve Perry. Steve, unlike everyone else, provides free updates after each new Nikon firmware release.

His focus is on wildlife but the settings and techniques apply equally well for general action photography as with sports or motor sports.
