a few photos from Okinawa
I and my wife are staying in a small house near Nakadomari beach until July 2, then will travel around Shikoku for the next two weeks. This is our 7th time in Japan, and Shikoku is the last large island of Japan that we have not seen before.

Among other things planned on this trip is buying the GF500 mm lens. It has been ordered, and should arrive in 10 days.

A series of photos taken while hiking along the western shores of Okinawa, on the Onna cost, all at low tide when the East China Sea is very shallow in most places along the coast.

Thank you, Dan! Yes, all handheld. Most of what interests me is in the broad realm of street and candid photography. This, typically means moving and reacting quickly to interesting scenes; thus shooting handheld. Even when shooting landscapes I like having people in the frame, engaged in some natural activity (somewhat like we see in the paintings of John Constable).

Your flower #3 is gorgeous!

I have hand tremors Dmitri! My dslr's, even with an "IS/OIS" lens will get wobbly if too bad. IBIS has made a HUGE difference in my "keeper" rate.

Yes my clematis's are doing very well this year. We had a record cold Winter..not much snow but brutal cold! I LOVE cold but my point being, the flora seems to be most excellent this Spring-Summer...The "see-saw" in Maryland winter temps can fool flowers, trees into thinking warmer temps are on its way then frigid cold returns.....The plants got to "sleep" all Winter this year.

Wow Dan, I was 1 year old at 1970!

Yes, the only way I can represent the view in more in reality is by a pano stitching so I can get ultra wide with our eyes perspective at the same time. The bigger format over a FF sensor is really help a lot in this scenario
