Thank you Dan! I like very much photographing irises too.In this case pretty heavy combo : GF 500/5.6 with 45 extension ring plus GFX100s was not easy to hold steady.Yet the perspective and working distance is absolutely unique.

Might I inquire what adapter you are using? I may have asked you this ?? before so excuse me if I did and you replied.
I have the Fringer Canon EF-GFX and am having issues with certain lenses that have "IS" capabilities with continually trying to focus even when camera is not taking an image. Turning 1 or another or both IBIS doesn't stop the 100sii from "hunting".

I'm just using a "dumb" K&F Pentax K to GFX adapter, I don't think there is a smart adapter for Pentax K (although I have the Kipon one for Sony E).
I do have the Fringer adapter, but I've mainly been using it on my Voigtlander 125mm macro, which is manual focus. Haven't noticed anything odd. I haven't used it much except for that lens.
Are you running the latest firmware for the Fringer adapter?

Yes! It was the 1st thing I did upon arrival.
I need to just get out and adapt lenses then see which ones have "issues" using the adapter!
Just trying to get a "reference point" to start my troubleshooting.

I think I have noticed some clunkiness with the Kipon Mamiya to GFX smart adapter, where if IS is set to continues, it seems more active.
But I may have been imagining it. Again this is a MF lens, so a little different than your scenario.

I am having issues with mounting my 100mmMacroEF to the adapter and Fuji. The camera seems to be "hunting" for focus. Even when I am not composing a shot.
I am glad to know it is me and not the equipment if set up correctly.

We are having wildfire issues here in Maryland also. Started yesterday. Very hazy, you could see the "smoke line" in the sky.
In the evening, you could smell the smoke also.
Maryland is also experiencing a "sand storm" issue from the Sahara desert. We have had this before. Makes for a great evening sunset image. You can actually see the particles of sand reflecting light and falling from the air.
Again GREAT images! I get homesick for Iowa and Minnesota when I view your images!

Dan, thank you and I am surprised as my 100 2.8 Macro works extremely well on the GFX.

I am sure it is something I have not "set" correctly Michael. My Canon 180mm Macro works flawlessly with the adapter.
Just have to figure what it is and remedy that.
Again GREAT images all! Extremely sharp, vibrant! Love the "SoL" clocks..They REALLY show the camera and lens off!!
