p.4 #1 · Fuji GFX Image Thread - all cameras and lenses
Just found this thread and I will post two images I cross-posted in the GFX 100S II discussion. Both images taken this weekend at the Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston for their Instagram. The first of the front facade of the hotel is taken with the EF-mount Laowa 15mm f/4.5 Shift lens and the second of the dessert is taken at their restaurant with the GF 55mm at f/2.5 with off-camera flash from a Godox V1 Pro (plus the window light). I'm working on a full set of images for them and will have more to share.

OK, here are some examples of EF lenses adapted to the GFX that have full coverage of the sensor and therefore become pretty unique in terms of focal length and equivalent depth of field and/or the look.
First, the Sigma 105mm 1.4 which I believe gives the look of an 83mm 1.1, or similar to an 85 1.2:
Then, the Tamron 85mm 1.8, similar to a 67mm 1.4, also the swirl is even more pronounced which is what I like and why I bought the lens:
And finally the Canon 200mm f/2L IS, similar to a 160mm f/1.6:

Very nice images and excellent illustrations of the rendering of each lens.
What is the autofocus like with these lenses? Especially the Sigma 105/1.4?
Thanks. So far AF seems ok but I definitely have had very limited time with each and haven't shot a lot of moving subjects. With the Tamron the issue at the beginning was the lens IS, but after checking with Fringer who makes the adapter they recommended turning it off while the camera is off, thus activating IBIS, and that seems to work better.

Here is a shot with the Tamron 85mm wide open at 1.8. An update on this lens: I tried shooting my daughter with Face/Eye tracking. I already knew the GFX would be relatively slow, but there is a downside with this lens. With some frequency it would be tracking her (she wouldn't be changing her distance from me) and it would go completely out of focus then start hunting through the range. Usually the screen would go black for a second, almost like it was resetting the camera entirely, then start focusing again. I would not shoot this at a wedding! But if you nail it I love the look.

Great stuff Peire, are you using extension tubes and/or the teleconverter?
Thank you thrice.
No.Extension tubes does not physicallyt fit the GF 500/5.6 alas. The 1,4 TC does.Yet all these photographs were taken without anything like that and handheld. No cropping.Just bare lens and 105mm UV filter.
