p.1 #1 · What is the original USB cable of the EOS 7D Mark ii
Hi all,
I just bought an EOS 7D mark ii after my 7D with all L-lenses were stolen after a break-in into my house.
There guy who sold it to me didn't have the original USB cable that came with it.
I want to check the shuttercount but CanonEosDigitalInfo.exe will connect the camera to my pc, but doesn't show the shuttercount. Maybe I use the wrong USB cable, but which one should I use?

I don't have that camera to check, but I am fairly certain that it would use a USB 2.0 cable having a mini (not micro) USB connector for the camera and a Type A connector for the PC.
Not all older USB cables can actually carry data; some only support charging. You may need to try a different cable.
However, to verify correct operation, I recommend downloading and installing Canon's EOS Utility app rather than using a third party app.

Since your application connects to the camera, you are using the right cable. The USB cable type does not determine what type of content that can be transferred or not.
