For the past 15+ years I have photographed once or twice each year in Death Valley. (I've built up enough of a library that you can find some of my prints in the park and in books.) I went this year in mid-March. My main target was Lake Manly, the resurrected version of the ancient lake that once filled the valley. It came back to life following a tropical storm last August and later rains helped keep it going. Of course, another reason that Lake Manly was a focus is that many of the other places that I like to visit, particularly in the backcountry, remain closed and inaccessible.
Here's a first set of some photographs from this year's visit.

Thanks, to all of you.
Ross, "Desert Mountain Ridges" has gotten some attention. It is also an example of the advice to look around the subject that I came to photograph was 180 degrees opposite this scene!
