p.1 #1 · Another "Hard Ass Headshot"...

This gentleman brought his late-teen daughter-model to a friend's studio today for a test. He sat patiently while she was made-up for nearly an hour, and then another hour of shooting.

So, in a goofy attempt to acknowledge this man's graciousness, when the daughter was finished, I moved some of the lights higher and took two exposures of her dad. This is the second.

I told him I needed a few more images for my little series of "Hard Ass Headshots". He said he was honored to be considered...

Real nice capture and representation of a "Dad"... Very respectfully done.

I can't decide if I like one over the other...so I guess I like them both in different ways and for different reasons?

I would not change the orientation or perspective. I think it is in-your-face and unconventional as shot and it works well for this image.

Love the detail in his face as well.
