I agree, therefor I even prefer using the Zeiss ZF. lenses over the ZF.2 lenses. There I can still use the apperture on the lens.
And since ZF.2 isn't adding functionality despite beeing chiped, exept for correct EXIF, they are both not ideal on the Z bodies.
All I can say applies to the Z7, but seems to be the same with ZF body. I would be willing to get one, if that would improve the usability of my Nikon Zeiss lenses, but so far, this seems not to be the case.
I have a new Voigtländer 15/4.5 for Z, where you can set the aperture on the lens and get full exif just like a native Z lens.

I also have an interest in keep using my Zeiss lenses, rather then dumping 9 lenses, and find a Voigtländer setup missing most focal lenghts I have now:
ZF 21/2.8
ZF.2 25/2.0
ZF 25/2.8
ZF 28/2
ZF 35/2
ZF.2 50/1.4 P
ZF.2 50/2 MP
ZF 85/1.4 P
ZF 100/2 MP
I could only replace two of them with Voigtländer Z lenses (35/2 and 50/2 - and those are discontinued). And maybe 85/1.4 by 74/1.5. Thats it.

I am using TT-artisan 6-bit with my Lieca M lenses and thypoch 28/1.4 Zf. If I understand correctly, this set up will retain effective 3 axis IBIS instead of 5 what the Zf offers as long as you dial in the focal length using the FL dial on the adaptor.
I also have Voigtlander Z mount 40/1.2 with chip. The lens works simply flawlessly on the Zf. I hope Voigtlnader will offer more Z mount chipped lenses moving forward...

That's a really bad analogy and has a fundamental misunderstanding of how F bodies interacted with F lenses in a way the FTZ physically cannot.
