Hello All,
My trip to Japan is the gift that keeps on giving. I began with over 12000 pictures and have widdled them down day by day. Choosing a top 100-200 will be a challenge, but there are certainly some pictures that rise to the top.
My first post began this sharing process, and I am certain that I will have at least two more posts in the coming months.
For those looking for a unique winter wildlife experience, you might want to put Hokkaido Japan on your list. It is a place that is well suited to a mix of drama and minimalism. Feel free to PM me if you want to know about my experience.
cheers,
bruce

So happy to see another amazing set from your trip Bruce! Your processing is so even keeled, nothing is over done and lets the images speak for themselves. The mirror image is very tastefully done as well as creative. If there is a part 3 4 and 5, and beyond, I'm looking forward to them!

Thanks Birdie...
This swan location is special. If you hit it in nice light, you are rewarded with the opportunity to make a really nice wildlife landscape photo.

Thank you very much Eric,
I appreciate you noticing how high did my post work... it take time to do this well, and I'm always looking for ways to be consistent and tie the work together.

Exciting, well done photography Bruce!
Really appreciate the fact that you mentioned that 1 image was digitally manipulated!

Thanks Dan... These days, I could make that comment about every pictures, as they all go through LR and PS. However, in the case of the cranes, I want to make sure that everyone knew that I was playing with the image to create the mirror. The shape of the exhalation lent itself to this type of digital "play."

Thank you very much... the trip was so good that I've decided to return in 2025. I'll be focusing on landscapes of Hokkaido next year instead of wildlife

Beautiful images, and thank you so much for noting that the crane breaths shot was a digital manipulation. It was a great shot in any event but it's easy to try to pass it off as a fortuitous capture.
Well-done all around - I look forward to more of your images.

It would be easy to comment on each one and give accolades Bruce so I found it quite simple to hit the VOTE button and just enjoy them all several times👍🏼
Stunning post each and every one of them!

I appreciate that and I am sure many other members do also! I doubt I would have been able tell otherwise but I DO appreciate you disclosing that fact.
Well done!

these are mind boggling, Bruce. each one has something added to bring these to great shots which convey the mood and the feelings of the place. I feel like I am there with you. thanks so much for sharing and yes a big vote from me.
