Wow Steve! I have NOT seen a telephone booth in 25+ years! Nor a public telephone!
This is well preserved and very clean!

Well done Steve!

Thanks Butch. In a weird way, I miss public telephones.

Thanks Dan. Public telephones are a rare commodity these days.

One of those anachronistic relics that defines how old we are.

Super find ... the interplay is somewhere between Larsen and Rockwell.

Reminds me of "Classic Steve", curious how it plays in mono.

Thanks Kent, and for the B&W suggestion. Here goes

These two would make a great pairing for discourse on color vs. mono ... and how / why / where the eye gets drawn.

Definitely a "Classic Steve" for me.

Thanks Kent. In the old days, photographers like Meyrowitz and Winogrand sometimes carried two cameras around their necks, one with B&W film and the other with color. They liked to compare the results which can be quite different. Cost and difficulty of processing and printing in those days was a consideration. It sometimes is a conundrum, which way to go, and probably much a matter of personal taste. For me, I "see" in color for the most part, occasionally going to the "dark" side.

I really like both versions but the black and white lends itself well to the nostalgia of the pay phones.

Operator, oh, let's forget about this call
There's no one there I really wanted to talk to
Thank you for your time
Ah, you've been so much more than kind
You can keep the dime
-Jim Croce

Your take much appreciated Butch, as well as the accompanying song lyrics, so funny.

The man using a modern cellular phone in an oldschool wired public phonebooth was a lovely catch, Steve!

Oh now this is special Steve! Not that the color one has any negatives, it is just how I saw public telephones and telephone booths when they were a part of the environment!
Super conversion!
