Yup a 6-segment tripod. Horses for courses. Most ultralight travel tripods in this segment have the same bottom segment size. This Marsace has a bigger top tube than all of them. If you don't need that ultralight spec, then a regular 3- or 4-segment Gitzo Series 2 equivalence would be great for a lightweight option (2.5-4lbs)
I owned Sirui for about 2 years, it does decent job in most of case, however, if the condition get worse such as strong wind, it may has some instability, I don’t want risk $10k gears just to save hundreds $ for tripod.

You only need to take off one or a few millimeters from the top of the aluminum pull-out leg stop. (Go slowly. A template can help make the legs match.) A twenty-two degree leg angle makes for a more impressive height specification to increase sales, but a twenty-five or twenty-six degree leg angle can dramatically increase the stability of an ultralight tripod at the cost of only a couple of inches of height. This worked for my Gitzo Mountaineer, and I'm about to increase the nominal twenty-three degree leg angle of my new hiking tripod (a Leofoto LS-254C) to help it withstand windy conditions. (FWIW I warned my daughter to no avail not to extend the center column of her Sirui T-024X at the coast. Lesson learned. Now she uses only the very short column and the widened legs.)

Can you suggest a style of file that would work? Also, how do you check that you're taking off the same amount on each leg? Thanks so much for this suggestion by the way....my tripod just collects dust so this could really be a good thing. I think on degree on each leg would be enough. I don't need it to be rock solid like 25 degrees, but it's ridiculous how tippy it is.

I used a fairly fine metal file. You don't have to take off much of the metal angle stop to make a difference; you can guestimate how much by simply leaving the stop open while opening the legs a bit. You can make a template using a grade school protractor and some stiff paper, and work until the leg makes the appropriate angle with a right triangle set on the floor It's also possible to use one of the free measuring apps on a phone, although the buttons on the side of my iPhone require a slight work-around. It's quite easy. Just go slowly--but it will take only a few minutes.
