En route to White Sands National Park on Wednesday I was concerned about the forecast for high winds up to 35mph, and as I approached the park still 30 miles away I could see the sky filled with a large cloud-like plume on the far horizon from the blowing sand. The air was definitely stirred up when I arrived so I wore a facemask before setting out on the dunes hike. Once again I�m taught the lesson that �bad� weather conditions usually makes for great photographic opportunity. The softened contrast and glowing light made it a joy to shoot. Hope you enjoy the images!

The colors are incredible on your images!

Perhaps a mantra for photographers would be to paraphrase Dickens, "�It was the worst of times, it was the best of times."
