Got a Z8 recently and it goes through the battery super quick. Any recommendation for a charger that can charge 2 or more batteries at the same time? There are so many different ones on Amazon and most have a few negative views about not being able to charge.
I bought two Nikon chargers. That way I can take one and leave one, plus I have a backup if something were to happen (not that a charger has failed before).
Regarding battery usage, Here’s a couple videos providing some good Z battery-saving practices.
+3 on the Nitecore. Use it in the car too to recharge batteries on the road... Though I rarely need to do this anymore. Just counted, between ENEL15Bs and ENEL15Cs, I have around 10 batteries. In most cases In charge them at home before I leave and have enough for the entire trip. BTW the 15Cs last notably longer than the 15Bs.

Nice, ordered a Nitecore from Amazon. I was confused by the pictures at first since they only show one slot but claimed it can charge 2 batteries. I finally realized that it must be one charging from the front and one from the back. Just preparing myself for my daughter's 3 day sports tournament. AP+C + 3D tracking seems to drain the battery quickly.
Anyhow, thanks for the recommendation. I should be ok with the Nitecore and the MH25a. I with bring some power bank just in case I need to charge it during the day.
sjms is the cord shown in your photo of the case used for another charger or is there someway you hook it up to the charger(s) to gain some distance from the wall socket? Thanks.
I'm a big fan of their flashlights though the USB-A thing bothers me. Does it charge the batteries one at a time or in parallel? Does anyone know a comparable USB-C charger?

From their website:
“With a dual port design, the UNK2 simultaneously charges 2 batteries in only 2 hours“

i have that in the case for another charger not in shot

Interested in what the other owners have experienced regarding charge time. I'm pretty sure it takes a lot more than two hours when I have two drained batteries. Maybe I need to upgrade my USB power supply.

If I use my iPhone adapter it goes pretty quick. When connected to my computer it takes double.
there are limitations on output of these chargers. the capacity of the 15C battery is 2280mAh (16Wh) where a 15B is 1900mAh (14Wh). bigger vs smaller. the charger has a fixed charge output into a bigger battery. its going to take longer to fill the higher capacity unless you have a higher output charger. as to charging 2 batteries on the UNK2 at the same time, yes it will be slower.
i generally have the cells i need for the day with me. i never ran out.
the 25A charger from Nikon is not a fast charge type of unit either.

That seems pretty quick for a 2280 mAhr battery at 7 V? The fast USB-A chargers that I’ve seen are at most 5V at 2.4A so I’m at a loss as how it could charge one battery in an hour, let alone two in 2 hrs as it would have to step up the voltage, i.e. drop the current with over 100% efficiency. Is it some kind of perpetual power machine or does it take more time, on the order of around 3 hrs, for two completely discharged batteries?

Interesting, I just got the UNK2 from Amazon, I will do some tests maybe this weekend and post the result. The attached cord that comes with the charger is surprisingly short tho... maybe like 3 inches? Probably need a USB-A extension cord to be more usable.
that is relevant to the charger output capability itself. now the input is from a power supply as seen in the pic) so it is acting as a simple power plug in this type of build scenario so it can accept from other various sources. now with data transfer stuff, things will be "different"
