Beautiful set Tim! I like them all. Although I'm from the east coast, I did a double-take when I realized I stood at the railing in #2 when my wife and I were visiting our our daughter (who lives northeast of Coos Bay) last October. We took a ride down to Shore Acres State Park and encountered much calmer seas (dead flat), so seeing the contrast that your images present gives this shoreline a much different look. I'm sure there were no seals crowding around on the rocks the day you were there, whereas there were hundreds when we were there, and they didn't stop barking or growling. :^)
Just happened on this cool set...my favorite shots are the idiots who approach the wave landing area and play with fate. It also brings scale to the huge waves.
It's an exceptionally rugged set, but image 9 stands out for me due to the tranquility and contrast against the rest of the set. It leaves me wanting to see more exploration of the full environment of the area.
Oh wow!! That is breathtaking…we just drove through Coos Bay a week ago, now I will have to go back to visit Shore Acres especially for some summer sunsets
